Colon cleansing has a lot of believers if a quick search on the internet is any judge. At the very least it shows that it is a thriving business. Also known as bowel cleansing, colonic irrigation, high colonic, and colonic hydrotherapy, colon cleansing advocates claim it promotes health by removing toxins and pathogens from the colon, based on the belief that intestinal waste can poison the body and is a major contributor to many diseases.
